Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Electrification Automation (EA) Business Unit. This remote role serves the Houston, TX area with extensive travel across the USA to install, test, commission, and start up LV and MV equipment.

Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of related equipment experience, knowledge of power distribution systems, and proficiency with MS Office. A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is preferred, with OSHA 30/ NFPA 70E credentials desirable.

Qualifications

• High School or GED minimum.
• 4+ years of directly related equipment experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of power distribution systems.
• Experience with low and medium voltage switchgear.
• Knowledge/experience with breakers or high voltage equipment testing, including analyzing test results.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repair of electrical control circuits.
• Must be available for emergency/relief assignments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiar with OSHA safety practices and working within safety guidelines.
• Position based remotely within Texas to support EA geography.
• Valid driver’s license and age 21+ for Siemens vehicle plan.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and start up LV and MV equipment.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, train, and consult on equipment.
• Support greenfield and brownfield installations and commissioning across Siemens/USA.
