Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Electrification Controls System Engineer to contribute to the concept, development, and design of advanced electronic control systems for Caterpillar's electrification product line.
This role blends hardware and software to deliver robust power solutions that meet stringent requirements. You will collaborate with battery control teams, electronics hardware and software groups, and verification teams to ensure systems align with customer needs and industry
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Experience with embedded systems and hardware/software integration preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design advanced electrical control systems and integrate electrical and mechanical subsystems for future Battery management system designs.
- Collaborate with Electrification Battery Control teams to collect requirements and manage system design for electronics.
- Work with Electronics Hardware and software teams to ensure components and software meet system requirements.
- Support verification and validation teams to ensure delivery meets customer requirements.
