Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Electrification Controls System Engineer responsible for concept, development, and design of complex electronics for the electrification product line. You will perform advanced analysis and resolve design problems to support system requirements.
Work closely with Electrification Battery Control and Electronics teams, ensuring on-time delivery and robust system performance. Location onsite with relocation offered, posting details provided.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum.
- Experience with authoring Software Requirement Specifications.
- Experience with datalinks including J1939 and Ethernet.
- Previous experience with software development.
- Experience collaborating with process partners to guide design decisions.
- Personal experience in executing software delivery cycle from requirements through validation.
Responsibilities
- Designing advanced electrical control systems and integrating electrical and mechanical systems to support future Battery management system designs.
- Collaborating with Electrification Battery Control teams to collect requirements and manage system design for electronics.
- Collaborating with Electronics Hardware and software teams to have components and software to deliver to system requirements.
- Supporting with verification and validation teams to ensure delivery meets customer requirements.
