Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo is seeking an Electrician I to inspect, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment. Work is performed to required safety codes with no supervisory responsibilities, and on-call rotations may apply.

The position requires a High school diploma or GED and a Licensed Journeyman Electrician with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (or equivalent experience).

  • Employment is contingent upon background checks as per state/federal law.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
