Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking an Electrical Utilities Student Intern to assist the University of Iowa campuses with operating and maintaining electrical distribution systems. You will contribute to data collection, modeling, and maintenance activities, using AutoCAD, ArcGIS, CMMS, and other tools, while collaborating with the onsite distribution team.

You will work fewer than 20 hours per week during classes, with potential up to 40 hours during breaks, and will gain hands-on exposure to

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with current enrollment at UI.
• Willingness to learn and apply engineering software and data-management tools.
• Experience or interest in electrical power, utilities, or distribution systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical distribution studies, data collection, and maintenance activities.
• Identify maintenance needs and coordinate corrective work orders with the Utilities Distribution Planner.
• Develop and maintain technical analyses, records, and equipment inventories.
