ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking an Electrician II to support the University of Iowa's campus utility and central plant systems in Iowa City, IA. This on-site role offers year-round 40-hour weeks with no routine overnight travel and a safety-first, veteran-friendly environment.

You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, read blueprints, and coordinate outages while documenting work. A journey-level license and 2+ years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Journey-level electrician license with Iowa reciprocity or state with Iowa reciprocity.
• 2+ years as journey-level electrician applying electrical theory and troubleshooting.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across campus utility and production environments.
• Perform preventive maintenance and testing on switchgear, breakers, motors, MCCs, VFDs, and related equipment.
• Support operation and repair of medium-voltage systems from 600V to 15kV under HV Electricians guidance.
• Diagnose issues in electrical and control systems including motor controls and building automation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical docs to safely plan work.
• Coordinate work sequences and outages; document maintenance and repairs per procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to outages and off-hours maintenance.
