Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing, LLC is seeking a Test Technician to lead and perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and startup of low/medium voltage electrical distribution equipment in field and shop settings.

The role requires travel to sites locally, regionally, and nationally, with international travel preferred. You will use advanced test equipment and adhere to strict safety standards to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
• NETA / NICET certification (preferred) or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical testing.
• Strong understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA electrical safety standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting protective relays, circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead, and support multiple projects onsite and in-house across company software systems.
• Perform testing of low and medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, and related equipment.
• Contain material costs by eliminating wasteful practices and implementing control measures.
• Rotate emergency on-call duty; respond to customer emergencies promptly.
• Promote continuous improvement and teamwork.
