Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead and perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting and startup of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment. This role involves field and shop work with travel locally, regionally, and nationally.

You will interpret schematics, operate test equipment, and ensure safety compliance while delivering reliable service and documentation for client projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
• NETA / NICET certification preferred or equivalent hands-on testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA standards.
• Ability to read schematics and work with test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing of low and medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, and relays.
• Coordinate projects onsite and in-house, maintain documentation from order to invoice.
• Travel to sites; respond to emergencies during on-call duty.
• Maintain detailed test reports and support commissioning.
