Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing is seeking a field electrical tester to perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and startup of LV and MV distribution equipment in both field and shop environments.

The role requires local, regional, and national travel, with international travel preferred. Candidates should have hands-on experience, strong safety practices, and the ability to interpret schematics and operate test gear including Doble, Omicron, Megger, Vanguard, and Fluke meters.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
• Must have a valid/active U.S. Work Authorization.
• NETA/NICET certification preferred or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical testing.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead, and support multiple projects onsite and in-house, ensuring complete documentation from order receipt to invoice.
• Perform testing of low and medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, and other electrical apparatus.
• Control material costs by eliminating wasteful practices and enforcing proper measures.
• Rotate on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies promptly.
• Promote continuous improvement and teamwork.
