Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electrical Technician II to join our operations & maintenance team in New Albany, OH. The role focuses on preventative maintenance of electrical and control systems, with emphasis on safety and code compliance.

You will read blueprints, diagnose issues, and support site engineering to ensure reliable power distribution, UPS systems, PLCs, and related equipment across facilities. This position requires hands-on expertise and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3–4 years of electrician experience in data centers, industrial environments, hospitals or manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to work at heights using aerial or scissor lifts up to 30 feet.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current and future facility electrical systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and control circuits from 24V to 480V AC and PLCs/Ladder logic.
• Read blueprints/schematics and assist site engineering teams on electrical needs.
• Adhere to NFPA70e and safety regulations; perform CMMS-driven preventive maintenance.
• Support electrical expansion projects and respond to service requests from customers.
