Job summary

City of Conroe seeks an experienced electrical technician to perform electrical work on city facilities under the supervision of the Assistant Construction Manager. The role requires troubleshooting, designing/building control panels, and wiring according to plans, with duties including maintaining electrical for downtown events and coordinating with vendors.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; master licenses and 10 years of experience are preferred, along with a valid

Must possess a valid Texas class "C" driver's license or higher.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical work on city facilities under supervision.
Troubleshoot equipment failures as needed.
Design and build control panels and wire buildings per plans.
Diagnose electrical control problems in City facilities.
Maintain electrical for downtown concerts and all special events.
Communicate with vendors, management, contractors and the public professionally.
Design, read and follow engineer drawings.
Respond to emergencies at any hour when requested.
