Job summary

The City of Conroe is seeking an experienced electrician to perform electrical work on city facilities under the supervision of the Assistant Construction Manager. This role demands strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret plans.

Required is a high school diploma; Texas class C driver's license; master licenses preferred with 10 years of experience. Candidates must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and work in potentially hazardous conditions, including emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Must be able to troubleshoot equipment failures.

Responsibilities

• Design and build control panels, wire buildings according to plans and specifications.
• Diagnose electrical control problems in City facilities.
• Supply and maintain electrical for downtown concerts and all special events.
• Communicate with vendors, management, contractors and the public in a professional manner.
• Understand and enforce City of Conroe and Departmental policies and procedures.
