Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking an Electrical Construction Technical Services Lead for world-class data center projects in Corpus Christi, TX. You will lead on-site and home-office coordination, manage drawing/spec interpretations, and drive documentation control to meet project goals.

You will collaborate with home-office engineering, AHJs, and subcontractors, delivering technical leadership and mentoring the team. This role offers a hybrid work model and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
10+ years in electrical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities.
Understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
Effective oral and written communication; ability to read electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership in resolving issues related to drawings and specifications; expedite responses from home office engineers.
Liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and client representatives.
Provide on-site technical support interpreting released documents, specs and drawings; contribute to change management.
Engage in permitting with AHJs and regulatory authorities.
Coordinate with Design-Build contractors as field work progresses.
Lead document management and revision control across subcontractors.
Offer guidance through the project’s spec deviation process.
Collaborate with Field Quality and Home Office to resolve NCRs.
