Job summary

Rivian seeks an electrical systems leader to drive design, development, release, validation and launch of electrical systems for a vehicle line in Palo Alto. You will partner with hardware, software and product teams to manage the full lifecycle from concept through launch.

You will own master development and integration schedules, drive v-cycle development, lead design reviews, and ensure manufacturability. Strong communication and collaboration are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience on a program team or equivalent experience.
• BS+ in Engineering or similar technical degree required.
• Integration and launch experience on a vehicle or highly complex electromechanical system.
• Strong communication skills in technical and nontechnical domains.
• Outstanding collaboration capabilities within and across organizations.
• Product Release and automotive quality processes experience.
• Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with all aspects of the electrical team to build out master development and integration schedules and highlight risks.
• Coordinate with electrical architecture, component design and software teams to drive development through the v-cycle.
• Drive synchronized deliveries with vehicle lines and other teams for critical path alignment.
• Lead design reviews to push integration to the vehicle and support pre-series builds.
• Generate development metrics and report status at weekly reviews and program gateways.
• Champion issue resolution and remove roadblocks.
• Cascade status and critical paths across indirect teams and product development leads.
• Collaborate with operations/manufacturing on design for manufacturability initiatives.
