Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a collaborative Technical Program Manager to drive the design, development, release, and validation of vehicle ECUs. You will lead cross-functional teams through product development stages, manage schedules, mitigate risks, and ensure timely deliveries from suppliers and internal groups.

The role requires 6+ years on a program team, a technical engineering degree, and strong communication with executives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience on a program team or equivalent.
• BS+ in Engineering or similar technical degree required
• Detailed knowledge of electronics design, development, validation, and integration
• Prior relevant engineering experience in ME, EE or systems engineering
• Experience working with Contract Manufacturers and vendors for PCBA, mechanical housings, complex system and high level assembly
• Outstanding program management skills to include development of program plans, schedules, and clear definition and management of program goals
• Proven experience in developing, launching and sustaining complex products
• Demonstrated experience in addressing and solving complex issues
• Strong communication experience with executive staff members
• Proven experience tracking and driving the progress of multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Work with Electrical Hardware Design to create engineering and delivery schedules and track progress against vehicle deliverables.
• Drive custom module developments with in-house PCBA designs and assemblies.
• Identify programmatic risks and mitigate to hit timing and deliverables.
• Coordinate with vehicle line, software, electrical and other teams to synchronize deliveries.
• Lead development and integration of ECUs via design reviews and pre-production builds.
• Coordinate with suppliers and supply chain for timely component deliveries.
• Push and support the release of engineering documentation to PLM.
• Support purchasing to ensure timely deliveries and maintain budgets.
