Job summary

Rivian is seeking a role to lead the design of low-voltage electrical systems for advanced autonomy vehicles. This position spans early-stage product development through manufacturing launch, developing the power architecture, network connectivity, and sensor/actuator systems required to support autonomous driving.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering.
• Experience with safety standards like ISO 26262 or ARP4754.

Responsibilities

• Interface with product management to define customer user stories and derive high-level system requirements.
• Drive low-voltage electrical system designs meeting performance, cost, and customer experience goals.
• Analyze designs against safety-critical requirements.
• Write and run test procedures for safety-critical requirements on vehicle test benches.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to incorporate high-rate process requirements into the system design.
• Own and document electrical system specifications.
• Investigate hardware/software issues to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.
