Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Electric Power Conversion Software and Controls Technical Program Management. You will oversee embedded software and control programs, manage a TPM team, and drive cross-functional execution across software, hardware, and vehicle programs.

You will define operating models, establish plans-of-record, and push for disciplined execution while shaping the org and roadmap for EPC software and controls across power electronics and vehicle integration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technical program management, software/controls engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience leading people, teams, or complex cross-functional programs; direct management experience is required.
• Experience leading embedded software, controls, or firmware programs through development, integration, validation, release, and production or customer launch.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices, requirements management, release management, and engineering validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EPC software and controls TPM organization.
• Directly manage, coach, and develop EPC software and controls TPMs; establish clear expectations for ownership, depth, communication, and follow-through.
• Define operating model, roles, responsibilities, prioritization, and engagement with software, controls, hardware, systems, test, quality, manufacturing, service, and vehicle programs.
• Build a culture of accountability, early risk identification, escalation, and disciplined execution.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, succession planning, and career development for the TPM team.
• Own portfolio planning and execution; align roadmaps with hardware maturity, prototype builds, and validation activities.
