Job summary
MAC Incorporated in New Braunfels, Texas, seeks an Electrical Superintendent to lead the reliability, maintenance, programming and improvement of the plant’s electrical, instrumentation, controls and automation systems.
The role oversees PLC/HMI programming, MV/LV equipment, motor controls and diagnostic work in a cement manufacturing setting, supervising Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians and coordinating outages, weekends and holidays as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation or related engineering field.
- 5+ years of ControlLogix PLC and HMI design/programming experience.
- 5+ years MV/LV electrical design and maintenance experience.
- 3+ years cement plant experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, process control and industrial standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance and reliability of electrical, instrumentation, controls and automation systems.
- Supervise Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians.
- Program, troubleshoot, modify and upgrade PLC and HMI systems.
- Lead RCA for major failures and develop preventive maintenance programs.
- Coordinate outages, start-up activities and project implementation.
