Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer for its Substation team, offering hybrid work arrangements. The role emphasizes design, coordination, and protection & controls for high‑voltage substations, including up to 765 kV projects.

You will lead project coordination, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients and vendors while traveling to project sites as needed. Flexible work options may follow after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as a technical specialist or project lead on substation projects.
• Support substation projects up to 765 kV in engineering, EPC.
• Develop protection and control design deliverables and diagrams.
• Develop physical design deliverables including yard layout and grounding.
