Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in substation projects. The role focuses on technical leadership, design coordination, and EPC execution within a collaborative team framework.

You will develop protection and control schematics, yard layouts, grounding systems, and power arrangements, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as Technical Specialist or Project Lead on substation projects.
• Support substation engineering detailed design and EPC.
• Develop protection and control design deliverables including relays and schematics.
• Develop physical design deliverables including yard layout, grounding, and power systems.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications and BOMs.
