Job summary

CoVolt Power seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead LV/HV/EHV power-system designs and high-voltage substations for transmission and distribution projects across North America. You will guide a team of engineers and drafters and drive coordination across disciplines to deliver robust protection, control, and SCADA elements.

The role requires strong knowledge of NEC/IEEE standards, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to produce detailed single-line and three-line diagrams, feeder

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Educational courses in power systems analysis, electrical machinery, etc.
• Knowledge of NEC, ANSI, NEMA, IEEE and other applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-discipline engineering team to design substation/transmission projects.
• Develop single-line switching and protection diagrams; DC schematics.
• Create equipment specifications and support procurement with vendors.
• Review substation drawings and calculations for general arrangements, grounding, and protection.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors and project management and ensure documentation is maintained.
