Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division (EESS) is seeking an Electrical Application Engineer. This hybrid role in Roseville, CA or Pleasanton, CA includes up to 20% travel.

You will lead the development of technical proposals, provide application support to national accounts and data center customers, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored engineering services and pricing strategies that maximize value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience developing complex technical and commercial proposals.
• Knowledge of power distribution products and engineering services.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of technical proposals, bid packages, and pricing strategies for power projects in the West Region.
• Advise Sales, partners, and customers with application support and tailored solutions.
• Analyze specs, prepare subcontractor scopes, and coordinate with vendors for competitive proposals.
• Support Eaton's services portfolio including digital solutions and training programs.
• Improve proposal processes, pricing models, and quotation tools for efficiency.
• Lead handoff activities and pursue additional scope opportunities.
• Present to customers, perform site visits, and coordinate with field teams.
• Track proposals, maintain relationships, and ensure project deadlines.
• Mentor junior team members and pursue ongoing professional development.
• Travel up to 25% to support customers and regional initiatives.
