Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division (EESS) seeks a Service Application Engineer in a hybrid role based in California (Roseville or Pleasanton) with up to 20% travel. The role partners with Sales and engineering teams to develop tailored proposals, pricing strategies, and technical solutions for data centers, utilities, and national accounts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in electrical industry.
Minimum 3 years in application engineering, proposal development, or related fields.
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
Ability to travel up to 25% and work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Lead development of technical proposals, bid packages, cost estimates, and pricing strategies for power distribution projects in the West Region.
Serve as technical advisor to Sales, channel partners, consultants, end users, and internal teams.
Analyze project specs and develop technical and commercial solutions with subcontractor scopes.
Support Eaton’s portfolio of engineering services, digital solutions, and training programs.
Collaborate to improve proposal processes, pricing models, and tools for efficiency and customer experience.
Lead project handoff activities and identify additional scope opportunities.
Conduct customer presentations and site visits to understand requirements and promote Eaton solutions.
Track proposal activity and maintain strong customer relationships.
