Optico Fiber in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is seeking a talented individual to design communications systems for substations. The role involves assessing existing communication facilities, developing designs for fiber optics and telecommunications, and ensuring safety compliance.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, exhibit strong communication skills, and be bilingual in English and Spanish. This position offers health insurance, a 401K plan, and paid vacations.
Perform assessments and gather data on existing substations regarding the existing communication facilities.Develop the design of communications systems for substations including fiber optics, telecom racks systems, cabinet elevations, and communications block diagrams.Prepare panel interconnections and outdoor equipment wiring and communications cabling and raceways.Develop invoices for materials and nameplate schedule.Review internal communications designs and external design drawings.Direct designers and technicians by reviewing work and monitoring progress to ensure compliance with safety and regulations.Be visionary and able to share that vision with the team members planning alternatives.Familiarity with design codes and standards, such as NEC, IEEE and ANSI.
$50,000.00 (Based on your experience).
