Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Assistant Electrical Superintendent to coordinate and supervise electricians on solar project sites. You will work closely with the Electrical Superintendent to size materials, develop schedules, and lead crews to deliver quality work.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration, with travel to remote locations as needed. Base pay details are provided, and sponsorship is not offered. Mortenson emphasizes safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Construction, Civil, Architectural Eng., or Construction Management.
• Five years construction/supervision experience, including medium/high voltage projects.
• Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Detail orientation to manage multiple tasks and schedules.
• Ability to travel up to 100% to remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical work on solar site under the Electrical Superintendent.
• Lead electricians and crews; ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Develop project schedules and three-week look-ahead plans.
• Manage resources, materials, equipment sizing, and site utilization.
• Attend meetings; liaise between field engineers and contractors.
• Mentor and train craftsmen; foster teamwork and inclusion.
• Monitor progress and performance of crews and subcontractors.
• Implement Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program on site.
• Lead project buyout, subcontractor coordination, and budget reviews.
• Perform on-site PM duties on small scope projects.
