Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent for Solar Install to coordinate and supervise subcontractors and craft teams on a U.S. wide project.

The role requires direct work with Foreman and a move toward learning scheduling and budgets, with 100% travel nationwide. The position is a salary role with base pay between $95,700 and $129,200, plus eligibility for Mortenson's incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent construction-related experience.
• Minimum 3 years construction management or related experience.
• Current driver's license.
• Experience working directly with Foreman and learning scheduling/budgets.
• Electrical knowledge or willingness to be qualified by Mortenson Electrical Managers.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Knowledge of equal employment opportunity and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and craft teams on site.
• Monitor weekly labor reports and address issues.
• Review craft worker certifications and trainings.
• Participate in safety meetings, site orientation, and trainings.
• Coordinate on-site operations, equipment, labor, and schedule.
• Support project managers on schedule development and updates.
• Manage quality control of self-perform and subcontractors' work.
