Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical - Service Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Montebello, CA. This role is ideal for a hands-on electrical controls professional with strong troubleshooting skills, experience with industrial equipment, and the ability to support furnace setup, repair, installation, rebuild, and start-up work.

The Electrical - Service Technician will work in a manufacturing service environment where technical accuracy, teamwork, and customer support are essential. This position offers the opportunity to apply high and low voltage electrical knowledge, work with advanced control devices, and collaborate with engineering and service teams to improve equipment performance. Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, setup, rebuild, repair, installation, and start-up work on furnace systems and related industrial equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, P&ID loops, and Engineering CAD drawings to fabricate, wire, and install components.
• Wire electrical systems while maintaining UL and CE compliance standards.
• Support customers by phone and in the field with technical troubleshooting, service issues, and equipment performance needs.
• Analyze product and design requirements, identify potential improvements, and provide feedback to the Engineering Department.
• Travel for field service work as needed, including occasional domestic and international travel.

Compensation and Benefits

• Direct hire opportunity.
• Pay range: $33.00 to $35.00 per hour.
• Location: Montebello, CA.
• Travel required: Less than 20%, including occasional travel by car and air.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Perform industrial electrical service, troubleshooting, installation, repair, and start-up of furnace systems.
• Wire and maintain electrical control systems in compliance with UL and CE standards.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams through phone support and field service.
• Review schematics, CAD drawings, and system requirements to support accurate fabrication, installation, and improvements.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant electrical service, controls, industrial maintenance, or related technical experience.
• Strong electrical knowledge, including high and low voltage schematics, drive systems, temperature controllers, P&ID loops, and basic PLC programming concepts.
• Experience with electrical control devices such as controllers, PLCs, SCRs, and VFDs.
• Knowledge of 3-phase, single-phase, VAC, and VDC circuits.
• Understanding of 4-20mA and 0-10V control loops.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ability to fabricate and install parts according to Engineering CAD drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, communication, and customer support skills.
• Ability to travel less than 20% for field service assignments.
• Ability to support work involving customer access to information subject to ITAR requirements.
• Passport required for international travel when assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background with ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience in industrial furnace, thermal processing, HVAC, or manufacturing equipment service.
• Prior field service experience supporting installations, repairs, rebuilds, and start-ups.
• Experience providing technical feedback to engineering teams for product or design improvements.
