Job summary

Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) seeks an Electrical Safety Specialist to advance the Electrical Safety Program in its Occupational, Safety and Health Division.

The role emphasizes compliance with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, and 10 CFR 851, delivering and documenting LOTO and basic electrical safety training, conducting field inspections, and coordinating electrical safety testing and incident prevention.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Organize and deliver Lockout/Tagout training per 10 CFR 851, OSHA, NFPA 70E.
• Conduct LOTO field audits and review subcontractor LOTO programs.
• Inspect electrical equipment and support the Electrical Equipment Inspection Program (EEIP).
• Assist with testing and documentation of PPE, voltage-rated gloves, and related gear.
• Provide electrical safety guidance and training to staff; promote safety culture.
