Job summary

Strategic Government Resources, Inc. seeks a qualified Electric Safety Training Specialist to develop, implement, and sustain an electric-specific safety and training program for frontline crews.

The role involves coordinating CDL-related training, conducting field safety audits, and ensuring OSHA and NFPA 70E compliance across facilities and operations. Interfaces with Facilities and HR to manage safety equipment programs, supports DOT/FMCSA compliance, investigates incidents, and drives

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, or related field, and three (3) years’ experience in electric utility operations; or an equivalent combination.
• Journeyman Lineman Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of an associate degree and three (3) years of experience.
• State of Texas Class A CDL driver’s license or the ability to obtain with 90 days of position hire date, and ability to maintain
• Basic computer application skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong knowledge of electrical utility operations, safety regulations, or technical trades
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform essential duties in an environment that entails a variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and sustain electric-specific safety and training program.
• Coordinate and schedule CDL-related training.
• Perform field safety audits and address compliance issues.
• Manage Electric PPE program and enforce OSHA/NFPA 70E requirements.
• Collaborate with Facilities and HR to ensure safety equipment compliance.
• Monitor DOT vehicle tracking and FMCSA compliance; coordinate dielectric testing.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Lead benchmarking with peers to adopt best practices.
