Job summary

Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory seeks an Electrical Safety Specialist to support the Occupational, Safety and Health Division. You will implement and improve the Electrical Safety Program, deliver and document LOTO training, and conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and 10 CFR 851.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
• 4–6 years of electrical system inspection, testing, operation, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E electrical safety practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and document Lockout/Tagout training and related electrical safety courses.
• Perform field inspections, audits, and assessments of electrical systems.
• Support electrical equipment inspection programs and testing.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure safe installation and operation of electrical systems.
• Promote compliance and safety culture through training and communications.
• Maintain currency with applicable electrical safety standards and PPPL policies.
