Job summary

ABB is hiring a Customer Electrical Quality Specialist (Engineer) to enhance customer satisfaction by resolving complaints, analyzing defects, and providing actionable solutions. You will ensure quality for PDUs, STS, and UPS at data centers with a strong emphasis on safety and collaboration across teams.

The role requires reading schematics, testing with power analysers, and applying Lean/Six Sigma approaches.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in electrical or electronics engineering or related field.
2+ years in manufacturing or quality control environment.
Ability to read schematics for electrical equipment and PCBAs.
Proficient with electrical test equipment (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes).

Responsibilities

Adhere to electrical safety standards in operations; collaborate with field project, service, process quality and engineering teams to implement containment and corrective actions.
Analyze customer-returned defective products and prepare 8D/Analysis reports; communicate findings and resolution plans to customers.
Visit customer sites to address complaints, provide technical support, coordinate defective material collection, and build relationships with customers.
Lead CI projects and cost-saving initiatives to elevate product quality and operational efficiency.
