Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality Engineer in the United States to lead customer interactions for quality issues and act as the technical authority on design deliverables for mid-to-high complexity projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s (7+ years) or Master’s (5+ years) in electrical distribution/power systems, excellent English communication, and proficiency in MS Office and MS Teams. Remote work with travel up to 40% is supported by ABB’s flexible model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7+ years in electrical distribution/power systems.
• Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems with 5+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ABB’s primary customer contact for quality and technical issues, leading communications and timelines.
• Act as the design authority for engineering deliverables on moderate to high-complexity projects.
• Review and approve designs, perform verification and peer reviews, ensure safety, quality, and contractual documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, communicate gaps and needs to product management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, testing, service, supply chain, and sales to ensure project success.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, including work plans, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and timely delivery of outputs.
