Job summary

IREN is seeking a QA/QC Technician - Electrical for its construction teams in Sweetwater, TX. The role focuses on inspecting electrical installations, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and OSHA safety standards, and coordinating with engineers and subcontractors to drive corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical project management/supervision and/or Quality Assurance Program management.
• OSHA-30 certification required (or must be obtained within six months of hire).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new software tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project planning and assist in determining appropriate installation techniques.
• Conduct regular walk‑through inspections to ensure conformance with contractual specifications, government regulations, and OSHA safety requirements.
• Inspect manufactured products, on‑site materials, equipment, and installation processes for compliance with specifications and standards.
• Document and communicate inspection results; identify non‑compliant situations, recommend corrective actions, and follow through to ensure full resolution.
• Provide QA/QC feedback during each phase of the project to support continuous improvement.
