Job summary

Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to oversee electrical construction projects, focusing on cost estimates and overall operations.

The role requires a strong background in electrical estimating, scheduling, and NEC compliance, with field collaboration across customers and subcontractors. Candidates should have 3+ years in project management and estimating in the electrical industry, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating project costs for electrical construction.
• Knowledge of NEC and local codes.
• Ability to read civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical plans.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Accubid or similar estimating software.
• Experience creating construction schedules in MS Project or Primavera.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Team-focused and self-driven.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project construction schedules.
• Submit RFIs to clients.
• Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects.
• Act as main point of contact for project personnel.
• Coordinate meetings and deliverables; address open items.
• Prepare cost estimates for labor and materials.
• Review costs versus budgets and report to management.
• Attend field walk-downs with customers and subcontractors.
• Assist with change orders and cost tracking.
