Job summary

CEC Companies is seeking a capable construction project coordinator to support project managers in planning, financial tracking, subcontractor management, and quality control. You will help with estimating, cost control, scheduling, and documentation to ensure timely project delivery.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of experience in electrical or general construction coordination, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years in electrical or general construction coordination/management.
• Journeyman Electrician license is a plus.
• Proficiency with project management and estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with preconstruction teams to support estimating, cost control, and schedule development.
• Reviews and coordinates scopes of work with drawings, specs, and objectives.
• Prepares submittals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Analyzes pay applications, change orders, and other financial docs.
• Participates in subcontractor bidding, evaluations, and award recommendations.
• Assists in contract administration and monitors deliverables.
• Oversees time tracking and reporting with field staff.
• Coordinates communication with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Organizes project meetings and drafts meeting minutes and reports.
• Maintains vendor contacts, material specs, and regulatory requirements.
