Job summary

CEC Companies is seeking a proactive Project Coordinator to assist project managers with planning, financial tracking, subcontractor oversight, and quality control for construction projects.

You will collaborate with preconstruction on estimating and scheduling, review scopes against drawings, and prepare submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance while supporting changing project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred; HS diploma required.
• Minimum 2+ years in electrical or general construction project coordination.
• Journeyman Electrician’s License is a plus.
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with PM and estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers in planning, financial tracking, subcontractor management, and QC.
• Collaborate with preconstruction on estimating, cost control, and schedule.
• Review scopes of work tied to drawings and specs.
• Prepare and review submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze pay apps, change requests, and other financial documents.
• Assist with subcontractor bidding, evaluations, and proposals.
• Support contract administration and monitoring deliverables.
• Oversee time tracking and reporting with field staff.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subs.
• Organize project meetings and draft minutes and reports.
• Maintain resource data like vendor contacts and material specs.
• Assist with material procurement and delivery.
• Perform related duties to ensure efficient processes.
