Job summary

Sundt Construction in Sparks, GA is seeking a Project Engineer with 5+ years of electrical construction experience to act as the technical source of information for the project, with thorough knowledge of construction documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders. You will respond to questions about drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and change orders, and support supervision of Field Engineers.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology and codes required.
• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent training plus 3–4 years of similar experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to supervise diverse teams.
• 5+ years of electrical construction project experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply the project management plan (PMP) and change management processes.
• Develop a procurement schedule aligned with the CPM schedule; coordinate submittals and reviews for contract compliance.
• Understand prime contracts, subcontracts, PO agreements, and allowances; monitor budgeting and cost control.
• Maintain As-built documents and prepare close-out requirements including manuals and warranties.
• Participate in takeoffs for concrete, asphalt, earthwork, and utilities as needed.
• Lead and develop project team members to ensure relentless execution.
• Prepare cost control budget adjustments and timely distribution of documents.
