Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Project Engineer to serve as the technical source of information for project documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders. You’ll respond to questions about drawings, specs, shop drawings, and change orders, supporting Owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The role involves progression through steps I, II, and Senior, with an emphasis on developing project management and cost control skills. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise and train Field Engineer positions if required.
• Strong understanding of project management and change management processes.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of the PMP components and change management to ensure project execution.
• Develops procurement schedule and coordinates submittals with trades and reviews for contract compliance.
• Manages budgeting, cost control and ensures project remains within approved budget.
• Maintains as-built contract documents and close-out requirements.
• Prepares and reviews change orders and cost adjustments, coordinating with owners and teams.
• Leads project team and participates in meetings, maintaining logs and agendas.
