Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking an accountable Project Engineer to oversee electrical engineering efforts from concept to delivery. You will plan, design, prototype, and test control panels and systems while coordinating with project teams and clients.

You will ensure designs meet NEC, UL, IEC, and IEEE standards, and contribute to safety, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in electrical engineering; ABET preferred.
• 10+ years in electrical engineering preferred; manufacturing experience ideal.
• Strong knowledge of codes and standards (NEC, UL, IEC, IEEE).
• Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD/EPLAN) and design analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical/control systems with detailed schematics and layouts.
• Select components and generate BOMs for panels and equipment.
• Prototype, test, and validate electrical systems.
• Plan and coordinate electrical requirements across projects.
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety guidelines.
• Prepare technical docs and progress reports.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and field issues.
• Communicate with stakeholders and clients about progress.
