Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead electrical and technical disciplines from conception to completion on complex control panel projects. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering (ABET) with 3+ years in electrical equipment manufacturing and design, and experience with NEC/UL/IEC standards. Houston-area applicants preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (ABET) or equivalent.
• Three plus years’ experience in electrical equipment manufacturing.
• Three plus years’ experience in electrical engineering principles, circuits, and systems.
• Three plus years’ experience in industry standards and regulations (NEC, UL, IEC, IEEE).
• Three plus years’ experience AutoCAD, EPLAN, and electrical design tools.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical/control systems including schematics, diagrams, and layouts for power distribution and equipment.
• Select components and generate project BOM (SWBD, MCC, Panelboard, VFD, ATS, panels).
• Prototype and test electrical systems; perform analysis and troubleshooting for performance and reliability.
• Plan and coordinate electrical requirements with project teams; ensure integration with overall design.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and certifications; stay updated on standards and safety guidelines.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation; maintain design change records and reports.
• Diagnose and resolve issues during manufacturing or after project completion.
• Maintain safety as a priority; implement safety measures for workers and public.
