Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks an Electrical Project Designer/Engineer for Mission Critical Facilities. The role performs technical duties under supervision, guides designers, and ensures quality across the design process for data center projects.

Open to locations with a Stantec presence; right candidate fits fast-evolving, technically challenging work. Your responsibilities include developing advanced electrical designs, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and delivering drawings, specs,

Qualifications

Accredited engineering degree or equivalent required.
Minimum 7+ years related industry experience; datacenter preferred.
PE license or equivalent certification preferred; strong design background.

Responsibilities

Develops advanced systems designs within own discipline with limited supervision.
Delegates tasks to project designers as appropriate.
Prepares project deliverables (drawings, specs, reports) per scope of work.
Assists in evaluation/selection of electrical equipment.
Coordinates with all disciplines to integrate work and client requests.
Follows quality management process; reviews deliverables for QA/QC.
Reviews shop drawings, RFIs, site reports, punch lists and meetings.
Acts as electrical lead on projects as directed by PM.
