Job summary

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Project Designer in Rogers, Arkansas to lead the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems for buildings. You will collaborate with engineers and consultants to deliver engineering solutions to clients, with a focus on safety and quality.

The role involves design leadership, budgeting, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams, with in-office work and potential for hybrid scheduling. Travel up to 10% and sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
3 years minimum experience in building design consulting; 4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical systems design, produce detailed designs, specs, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
Engage with clients to understand needs and maintain professional relationships.
Plan, budget, and schedule projects with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
Document design decisions and monitor progress (percent complete and fees).
Provide in-progress design reviews of electrical calculations and specs.
Ensure designs meet IMEG quality standards and industry requirements.
Stay current with industry trends and contribute to R&D efforts.
Prioritize safety and mitigate electrical risks in projects.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and PMs for integrated solutions.
Identify potential issues and escalate to PM as needed.
Oversee bidding and construction administration phases.
