Job summary

IMEG is seeking an Electrical Project Designer in Raleigh, NC to lead design efforts for low to moderate complexity projects and collaborate with senior staff on larger, high-complexity projects. You will provide engineering solutions and oversight of electrical systems for buildings, working with a dedicated team in-office.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and 5+ years of building design experience, with BIM proficiency and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in building design consulting or related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and lighting.
• Proficient in BIM and electrical design software.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for low to moderate complexity projects.
• Produce designs, specs, and calculations per codes and IMEG standards.
• Communicate with clients and gather project requirements.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Review designs for quality and compliance.
