Job summary

Chapel Electric Co., LLC, an EMCOR Company, seeks an Assistant Project Manager in Dayton, OH to assist with planning, directing, coordinating and budgeting electrical construction projects. The role supports PMs, coordinates sub-contractors, and helps ensure profitability and customer satisfaction while building experience to advance to a Project Manager.

This full-time, non-exempt position requires strong communication, organization, and team collaboration in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Electrical construction knowledge via apprenticeship acceptable.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to follow processes, attention to detail and good time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Project Managers by reviewing submittals, writing contracts and purchase orders, and coordinating sub-contractor activities.
• Assist in managing documents for field personnel and establishing project schedules with PM.
• Create cost code allocations from initial estimates and track job costs.
• Visit job sites, attend meetings, and help with job close-out manuals and as-builts.
• Manage vendors and track deliveries of materials; issue timely RFIs.
