Job summary

PureGrid Electrical is seeking an Assistant Electrical Project Manager to support industrial electrical projects from preconstruction through closeout. The role emphasizes organization, communication, and proactive coordination with field teams, engineers, and clients.

Responsibilities include assisting Project Managers with day-to-day operations, tracking submittals and RFIs, expediting long-lead equipment, and preparing pay applications. Travel to nationwide job sites is possible as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, estimating, or assistant project management within commercial/industrial electrical space.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering preferred, or related experience in electrical trades.
• Familiarity with construction management software (Procore) and document control practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day operations of industrial electrical projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Act as a secondary point of contact for site superintendents and field crews; ensure updated drawings, submittals, and material deliveries are available.
• Log, track, and expedite long-lead electrical equipment; coordinate jobsite material deliveries and purchase orders to prevent delays.
• Draft purchase orders and assist with subcontractor billings and monthly pay applications; compile change order documentation.
• Own daily administrative workflows in construction management software, tracking RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and drawing revisions through closeout.
• Participate in alignment meetings with general contractors, engineers, and clients; document action items and milestones.
