Job summary

PureGrid Electrical is seeking an Assistant Electrical Project Manager to support industrial electrical projects in Houston, TX. You will help translate designs into field actions, track submittals, RFIs, deliveries, and align with clients, engineers, and subcontractors.

You will assist the Project Manager with day-to-day operations, coordination with field teams, procurement, and contract administration, while maintaining safety, accuracy, and schedule.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, estimating, or assistant project management in electrical subcontracting.
• Basic to foundational understanding of electrical systems and reading blueprints/single-line diagrams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent electrical trade experience.
• Hands-on experience with modern construction management tools; Procore and Bluebeam Revu knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day operations of industrial electrical projects, ensuring tasks are safe, accurate, and on schedule.
• Act as secondary point of contact for site superintendents and field crews; ensure up-to-date drawings, submittals, and material deliveries.
• Log, track, and expedite long-lead electrical equipment; coordinate jobsite material deliveries and purchase orders.
• Help draft purchase orders, process subcontractor billings, assist with pay applications, and compile change order documentation.
• Own daily administrative workflows in construction management software; manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and drawing revisions.
