Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge engineering design and field execution on major industrial projects. You’ll lead constructability efforts, coordinate with internal teams and contractors, and shape bid packages for on-site electrical work.

This role requires strong leadership, superior communication, and a deep understanding of electrical design and construction processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• Minimum 8 years in electrical engineering or 15 years in industrial construction management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to resolve design and constructability issues.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities based on design.
• Engage early with trade partners during design phase.
• Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope for sequencing.
• Identify risks in long lead construction activities and align with schedule.
• Develop and review construction bid packages with design teams.
• Coordinate full work breakdown structure across stakeholders.
