Job summary

Jacobs’ Advanced Manufacturing group is seeking a hands-on Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge design and construction for major industrial projects. You will coordinate with internal teams and contractors to develop comprehensive bid packages and ensure constructability, sequencing, and complete scope coverage on site.

The role requires leadership, strong project management, and deep knowledge of electrical drawings, standards, and means.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• 8+ years electrical engineering or 15+ years construction management experience.
• General understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical engineering design drawings and specifications for construction purposes.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving design and constructability concerns.
• Identify opportunities for schedule and cost savings based on design.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope for construction sequencing.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with schedules.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor award.
