Jacobs is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Electrical for data center and industrial projects across the United States. The role bridges engineering design and construction, coordinating with internal teams and contractors to develop bid packages and ensure constructability.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in electrical engineering or 15+ years in industrial construction management, a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in electrical engineering or 15+ years in industrial construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Experience interpreting electrical design drawings and specs for construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to resolve constructability concerns in design and construction.
• Identify schedule and cost saving opportunities.
• Engage trade partners early in design phase.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope for sequencing and build-out.
• Identify risks for long lead activity and align with project schedule.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor award.
• Coordinate across stakeholders for complete work breakdown structure.
