Job summary

Jacobs’ Advanced Manufacturing group seeks an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge design and construction on major industrial projects. This role requires coordinating with internal teams and contractors to develop comprehensive bid packages and ensure constructability and sequencing on site.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in electrical engineering or 15+ in industrial construction management, a bachelor's in engineering, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8 years of electrical engineering experience or 15 years construction management in industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• General understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical design drawings for construction.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving design and constructability concerns and disputes.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities based on design and modularization.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope for sequencing and build out.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with schedules.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor award.
• Coordinate across stakeholders for full construction WBS and scope understanding.
• Review Vendor Data Requirement submittals for constructability impacts.
